Introduction:
UV ultraviolet aging tester can simulate the damage caused by sunlight, rain and dew to materials. UV uses fluorescent ultraviolet (UV) lamp to simulate the effect of sunlight and uses cold to simulate rain and dew. The tested material is placed in a cycle program of alternating light and moisture at a certain temperature for testing. The UV test can be used for several days or weeks to reproduce the hazards that occur outdoors for several months to several years. Hazard types include: fading, discoloration, loss of gloss, chalking, cracks, turbidity, foaming, embrittlement, strength decline and oxidation. LISUN design UV Aging Test Chamber fully complies with the requirements of Standard ISO 4892-1, ISO 4892-3, GB/T16585-1996, GB14522-93, GB/T16422.3-1997, ASTMG53 and etc., provides the best UV sunlight simulation, and is easy to use and operate.
UV-263LS UV aging test Chamber
The main function:
In the UV accelerated aging test chamber, the fluorescent ultraviolet lamp of the ultraviolet lamp can reproduce the influence of sunlight, and the condensation and water spray system can reproduce the influence of rain and dew. During the entire test cycle, the temperature is controllable. The typical test cycle is usually ultraviolet light irradiation at high temperature and a dark and humid condensation cycle with a relative humidity of 100%; typical applications are paint coatings, automotive industry, plastic products, wood products, glue, etc.
Main impact:
Ultraviolet aging test chamber is another kind of light aging test equipment that simulates light. It mainly simulates ultraviolet light in sunlight. At the same time, it can also reproduce the damage caused by rain and dew. The equipment conducts the test by exposing the material to be tested to a controlled alternating cycle of sunlight and moisture while increasing the temperature. The equipment uses ultraviolet fluorescent lamps to simulate sunlight, and it can also simulate the effects of moisture through condensation or spraying.
Natural sunlight and moisture damage materials, causing incalculable economic losses every year. The UV accelerated weathering tester can reproduce the damage caused by sunlight, rain and dew.
In just a few days or weeks, the device can reproduce the damage that takes months or years outdoors. The damage caused mainly includes fading, discoloration, decrease in brightness, chalking, cracking, blurring, embrittlement, decrease in strength and oxidation. The test data provided by the equipment is of great help in the selection of new materials, the improvement of existing materials, or the evaluation of composition changes that affect the durability of the product. The equipment is an excellent predictor of the changes that the product will encounter outdoors.
Although ultraviolet light (UV) only accounts for 5% of sunlight, it is the main light factor that causes the durability of outdoor products to decrease. This is because the influence of sunlight’s photochemical reaction increases as the wavelength decreases. Therefore, when simulating the destructive effect of sunlight on the physical properties of the material, it is not necessary to reproduce the entire sunlight spectrum. In most cases, only short-wave UV light needs to be simulated. The reason why UV lamps are used in UV accelerated weathering testers is that they are more stable than other lamps and can better reproduce test results. It is a good way to use a fluorescent UV lamp to simulate the effect of sunlight on physical properties, such as brightness drop, cracking, and peeling.
UV lamp type:
UVA-340 tube: UVA-340 tube can perfectly simulate the short-wave ultraviolet light in sunlight, that is, the wavelength range from 365 nanometers to the cut-off point of sunlight 295 nanometers.
UVB-313 tube: The short-wave ultraviolet light emitted by the UVB-313 tube is stronger than the sun’s ultraviolet rays usually irradiated on the earth’s surface, which can accelerate the aging of the material. However, the lamp tube may cause unrealistic damage to some materials. UVB-313 lamps are mainly used for quality control and research and development, or to run tests on materials with strong weather resistance.
UVA-351 tube: It simulates the sunlight and ultraviolet light passing through the window glass. It is the most effective for testing the aging of indoor materials.
