IEC 60065 Figure 9: Test Plug for Mechanical Tests on Antenna Coaxial Sockets is a specialized test plug designed for mechanical tests on antenna coaxial sockets, fully complying with IEC 60065 “Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus – Safety requirements” Figure 9. It is entirely manufactured from stainless steel with all parts precision-machined to ensure high accuracy and durability. The mating section of the test plug adheres to IEC 60169-2 Figure 7, making it a reliable tool for verifying the mechanical performance and safety compliance of target sockets.
Specifications:
• Complies with IEC 60065 standard “Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus – Safety requirements” Figure 9
• Mating section conforms to IEC 60169-2 Figure 7
• Material: Entirely stainless steel
• Manufacturing process: Precision-machined all parts
• Hole diameter: 1.5 mm
• Key dimensions (with tolerances, in mm):
a: 9.576 (-0.1)
b: Minimum 8.05
c: 2.438
d: Minimum 9.1
f: 0.8 ± 0.4
g: 40 ± 0.4
h: 12 ± 0.4
j: 43 ± 0.4
k: Minimum 0.3 (radii)
• Function: Facilitates mechanical tests on antenna coaxial sockets
Test Procedures:
• Prepare the antenna coaxial socket to be tested, ensuring its surface is clean, free of debris, and structurally intact.
• Inspect the test plug to confirm no wear, deformation, or damage, and verify it meets the specified dimensional and material requirements.
• Align the test plug with the antenna coaxial socket according to the assembly requirements of IEC 60065 Figure 9 and IEC 60169-2 Figure 7.
• Insert the test plug into the socket as required by the mechanical test protocol (e.g., standard insertion force, repeated insertion/extraction cycles) without applying excessive force.
• Perform the designated mechanical tests (e.g., durability, stress resistance, retention force) as specified in IEC 60065.
• After completing the tests, remove the test plug and inspect the socket for any mechanical damage, deformation, or functional failure.
• Evaluate whether the socket meets the safety and mechanical performance requirements of IEC 60065 based on the test results.
Applications:
• Mechanical performance testing of antenna coaxial sockets in audio, video, and similar electronic apparatus.
• Safety compliance verification of antenna coaxial sockets to meet IEC 60065 standards.
• Quality control during the production process of electronic equipment and coaxial socket components.
• Mechanical reliability testing of antenna coaxial sockets in laboratory settings.
• Compliance inspection for electronic device manufacturers producing products with antenna coaxial sockets.
• Performance validation of coaxial sockets used in household, commercial, and industrial electronic systems.
