This VDE 0620-1 Lehre 2 – Lehre zur Prüfung der kleinsten Öffnungsweite und der kleinsten Abzugskraft der Kontaktbuchsen is meticulously designed and manufactured in strict compliance with the relevant requirements of the VDE 0620-1:2010 standard. It is specifically developed to verify whether the structure and size of plugs and sockets meet the specified criteria, focusing on testing the smallest opening width and smallest withdrawal force of contact sockets to ensure product compliance and reliability.
Specifications:
• Aligns with DIN VDE 0620-1 “Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes Part 1: General requirements on fixed socket-outlets” Lehre 2
• Available in variants: Lehre 2A, Lehre 2B, and Lehre 2C
• For Lehre 2A (matching DIN 49440, 2P type): Dimension “a” is 3.8±0.05 mm, mass is 200 g
• For Lehre 2B (matching DIN 49441, 2P+ type; DIN 49445, 3P+N+ type): Dimension “a” is 4.6±0.05 mm, mass is 200 g
• For Lehre 2C (matching DIN 49447): Mass is 300 g
• Dimension ranges: 6 to 10 mm and 10 to 12 mm
• Key dimension details: 7.8±0.05 mm, 2.3±0.05 mm, 5+0.2 mm
• Withdrawal force requirement: The gauge shall not fall out of the contact socket under its own weight within 30 seconds
Test Procedures:
• Ensure the contact socket to be tested is clean, intact, and placed in a stable testing environment.
• Select the appropriate gauge variant (Lehre 2A, 2B, or 2C) based on the type and specification of the contact socket.
• Insert the selected gauge into the contact socket correctly following standard operating guidelines.
• Measure and check the smallest opening width of the contact socket using the gauge to confirm it meets the VDE 0620-1:2010 requirements.
• Perform the withdrawal force test by monitoring the gauge for 30 seconds to verify it does not fall out under its own weight.
• Document all test data and observations to determine if the contact socket complies with the specified standards.
Applications:
• Quality inspection and compliance testing of contact sockets in the electronics industry.
• Conformity verification of plugs and sockets during production in the electrical appliance sector.
• Routine quality control and performance testing in plug and socket manufacturing enterprises.
• Product inspection and certification in industries producing household and similar-purpose electrical connectors.
• Research and development testing for new plug and socket designs to ensure standard compliance.
• Third-party testing and certification services for products related to plugs and sockets.
