RoHS Background:
The European Union Conference and the Council of the European Union formally announced the document 2002/95/EC in February, 2003: It is required that electrical and electronic products entering the European Union from 1st July, 2006 should comply with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). , Referred to as RoHS). This directive mainly restricts the content of lead Pb, mercury Hg, cadmium Cd, hexavalent chromium Cr6+, polybrominated biphenyls PBB, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers PBDE in products. Many electrical and electronic products contain these six toxic and hazardous substances at present.
RoHS 2.0 Revision Directive:
The European Union Official Journal (OJ) issued the RoHS 2.0 Amendment Directive (EU) 2015/863, which officially included DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP in the Appendix II restricted substances list. Up to now, Appendix II has ten mandatory controls. It substances effective time medical equipment and monitoring equipment until 22nd July, 2021, and other electronic and electrical products 22nd July, 2019.
On January 6, 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission and other eight ministries and commissions jointly issued the “Administrative Measures for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products”. It is proposed to establish a conformity assessment system for the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products. It officially launched on 1st, July, 2016.
